Resumo

Agile methodologies emerge when the client’s demand for the contracted products and services has substantially changed. This phenomenon is a consequence of increased business and competitiveness, which has led customers to value aspects such as agility in delivery and cost reduction in product development or service provision. This study explores the influencing factors in implementing an agile methodology, precisely the Kanban method, in service providers. This research is exploratory and quantitative, where data collection was carried out through an online questionnaire with a group of professionals who use agile methodologies. According to the results, the use of the Kanban method is highly relevant since, the method continues to be highly effective, and the top management of the company in which the respondents work supports the implementation of new methodologies that contribute to improving the company’s performance. The adherence of leaders and managers can directly influence the implementation of the Kanban method.
