Performance exportadora em MPEs: os consórcios de exportação como estratégia eficaz? Export performance in MSB: the export consortia as effective strategy?
Resumo
In a scenario where even large companies conduct mergers and acquisitions in order to strengthen themselves in the face of globalization, the MSEs are seeing in export consortia also a means to become stronger and better meet the global demand (MARQUES, 2002). The present study aims to investigate the use of export consortia as an effective strategy in export performance of Brazilian companies in order to corroborate or refute the basic hypothesis of the research "companies that integrate some export consortium have satisfactory export performance?" For this check, the analysis was done using the Pearson correlation coefficient and descriptive statistics, which indicated a lack of correlation between participation in the consortium of export and export performance, to disprove the hypothesis of the research. Among other results, attention is drawn to the low exploitation of the potential benefits of the network and highlights that there are few joint cooperation initiatives, consortia being used primarily to reduce costs in international fairs.
